- Brush your hair so it will be easier to work with.
- Part your hair in a deep part so it aligns with your left eyebrow.
- Grab a section from beside the part. (Make sure it's not too big or too small)
- Do a simple three strand braid.
- Get an elastic and secure your braid by tying it off.
- Go to the top of your braid, you will now be working with the far side of your braid.
- Open up the top little bump/section of the braid and place two fingers between them.
- Get a small section from the front of your head and pull it through.
- Repeat steps 7 and 8 until you get to the other side of your head. (Stop the braid at your right eyebrow so it aligns with the left side.
- Get the remainder of the braid and pin it under your hair to hide it.
- Go back to your waterfall sections and pull then together and begin to back-comb it. (teasing it) the reason you should tease it is because sometimes the sections fall back in weird places, teasing it makes sure the strands stay in place.
- To make sure you can see the braid from the front, go back and gently pull out the edges of the braid.
- Now your have a faux waterfall headband!!!
If you still aren't sure how to do the faux waterfall headband, be sure to watch the video down below.
