- Brush your hair out so it's easier to work with.
- Pull your hair up into a high ponytail.
- Get a bun maker that's closest to your hair colour, but before putting it onto the ponytail, take out a piece of hair and then put the bun maker over the rest of your hair.
- Let your hair fall over and make sure its as evenly spaced as possible around the bun maker.
- Part your hair to find the piece you left out.
- Divide that piece into three sections and do a dutch braid (if you don't know how to do this, you can find it in medium hairstyles.) The lace portion of this will be because you will only be adding hair only to the top of of the braid.
- Continue braiding around the bun maker but make sure you're not doing this too tight because later you will be tucking the extra hair under it.
- Once you run out of hair to add in, continue with a three strand braid. Once you get to the ends of your hair get an elastic band and secure it.
- With the extra braid, tuck it behind the braid we just did, and after you place it so the extra braid isn't showing, pin it down with bobby pins.
- This hairstyle can be a bit tricky when you do it on yourself but just keep practicing.
