- Brush your hair out so it's easier to work with.
- Start by doing a deep side part.
- Get a small section in the front ant make three equal sections (as if you were doing a normal braid.)
- Do one stitch of a normal three strand braid.
- As you do another stitch of the braid, this time pick up hair on the left side of the braid and let go of the right side of the braid.
- Then pick up a small section. That will be the new right side of the braid.
- Repeat steps 5 and 6 until you get to the back of your head (to the crown of your head)
- Once you get there, secure the braid with an elastic band and bobby pin it under hair to hide the pins.
- Go back into the braid and gently pull on the edges of each section of the braid (each "bump")
- Doing this will make the braid pop more.
- This braid is harder to do on yourself than doing it on another person, like most braids you have to practice doing them because they can be tricky.
- You can curl your hair (or just the waterfall parts) for a more "dramatic" look.
- Now you know how to do a waterfall braid!!!
